Hey, girls! Samra is back here with an Independence Day Special Post. Sorry for the delay as my broadband connection has been acting up lately. Although 14^th August has a special place in the hearts of Pakistanis but this year has been even more special for shopaholics like me :D Brands like Gul Ahmed, Al Karam, Outfitters, ChenOne, Origins, Bareeze, Ego etc offered huge discounts. The best thing about these sales was that the discounts were on entire stock including loose fabric which is always a priority.  So, I decided to go on a shopping spree and avail the discounts from some of my favorite brands from a single destination – The Centaurus Mall.

When I reached the first floor, I came across this new store – Eastern Art and Handicraft. There is a huge variety of handicraft including wall hangings, cushions, bags etc with tribal embroidery as well as silk, pashmina and other kinds of printed summer shawls and scarves. The traditional wooden and marble decoration piece sets available there are particularly exquisite. I got a printed scarf for my bestie and a medium length mid-summer checkered shawl for myself at a reasonable price of PKR 350 and 750 respectively.

Next, we went to Minnie Minors which was also offering flat 30% sale on the entire stock, so we
purchased a 2 piece T Shirt with Shorts set and another T Shirt with Trouser set that my mother had to gift someone. After a flat 30% discount, they cost us PKR2150/-  collectively, as opposed to the original price of PKR 1890/- and 1190/- respectively which makes a total of PKR 3080/- They are a steal for the price, isn’t it? Now this part of the post is exclusively for mommies. Lol.

Then I reminded my mother that we should rush towards the outlets of lawn brands next (which was the actual purpose of being there :P), before they run out of stock. Previously, I had received Al Karam Studio Spring Collection Volume 1, 2015 - Royale Silk collection and Gul Ahmed Summer Lawn 3 piece Collection Volume 3 as presents from the family, which were exquisite, so I could not afford missing out the sales of these brands.

First I went to Al Karam Studio and after having a hard time selecting them (as I loved the entire collection, especially Volume 1), purchased three suits from there - two of them being from Al Karam Studio Spring Collection Volume 1, and one from the Sania Maskatiya Designer Lawn Collection.

AKL-2588 PINK is from their Chikankari Range of Spring Collection Volume 1 and it comes with:

AKL -2616 – Beige “Ethnic Fusion” is from their Spring Collection Volume 1 and it comes with:

SM -06 PUTJHAR is from their Spring/Summer Sania Maskatiya Lawn Collection and it comes with:

Next, we headed   towards Ideas by Gul Ahmed and my mother bought a printed shirt for herself from Gul Ahmed Single Lawn Collection as the store was being set up for the sale and we could not find the desired designs from the unstitched range. However, their digital silk kurtis collection was something to watch out for.

It cost us PKR 750/- for Standard 2.5 Mtr cutting at a discount of 25%. It was originally priced at PKR 1000/-

Lastly, we went to Ethnic by Outfitters as my sister in law had bought herself some really nice ready to wear dresses from there previously and raved a lot about their summer collection. From florals (which are rare to find these days) to geometric prints, digital prints and intricate embroideries, the entire lawn and cotton net collection was worth the praise.

I bought two unstitched suits from their two piece collection which I found the prettiest of all since they come with beautiful printed and embroided shirt front pieces and digital printed back pieces, not to forget the printed trousers – all with the price tag of Rs. 3190/- each.

I also got myself tights in beige and black from Ethnic at a discount of 30% from the original price, that is, 660 PKR each instead of 950 PKR. The mini gold buttons’ detailing is the highlight of these.
