Our blog, The Brown Muses turned 1 on June 3, 2016 and we strongly felt that it was time to bring some fresh changes to the blog, not only in terms of content but also in terms of the look and feel. We recently updated the layout to something that offers ease of navigation with colours soothing to the eyes.
We chose a minimal layout which would highlight the content more than the layout itself because we believe that the content should do more talking than the layout. Here is a breakdown of what's new on our blog:
- On the top black bar, we have three pages, which contain important information like New Here? (our introduction/about us), Get In Touch (contact information) and PR & Disclosure Policy and the search filter.
- We have a dedicated navigation menu, where we have fragmented the categories into Beauty, Makeup, DIY, Life & Style, Series, and Potpourri. We have introduced some new categories too which didn't exist before, so expect a lot of new and fresh content in future.
- There's a sidebar which includes our social media buttons, an RSS feed/subscribe button (YAAAS, we finally have one that actually works), labels (again for ease of navigation for finding posts relevant to what you're looking for in particular), popular posts and blog archive. Moreover, sharing the post you like has been made easier with the addition of the buttons of our social media profile links at the end of every post.
- And finally, on the bottom, we have our Instagram feed, YAY!
