REVIEW: Juicy Chemistry Rice Flour - Orange and Green Tea Face Scrub
Friday, August 28, 2015Hello beauties! Along with a good body polish, we need a good face scrub too which would effectively remove dead and dry skin and give much needed deep cleansing as well as softness to our skin. One must use a good face scrub at least twice a week to do the needful, also strictly one must avoid using face scrub every day as it’ll do more damage to the skin than good. Today I am reviewing a face scrub that contains goodness of rice flour, green tea. The scrub goes by the name of Rice Flour – Orange and Green Tea Face Scrub by Juicy Chemistry. I have earlier reviewed a product from the same brand which can be found here.
About The Brand:

About the product:
Rice Flour has great oil absorbing properties. Made with the goodness of orange and tea tree essential oils that have both anti-septic and anti-inflammatory properties, this scrub is great for all skin types. Detoxifying green tea helps gently cleanse the dead skin cells and enhance complexion to give a natural healthy glow.

My Experience:
The product comes in a plastic jar with a black screw top lid, the jar is quite cute and sturdy plus the product is in powder form so it’s 100% travel friendly. When you take the first whiff you will be reminded of oranges, Mrs Megha Asher, the brain behind Juicy Chemistry has used orange oil liberally which makes the product smell delicious and transport us back to childhood days when we would eat fresh yummy oranges upon returning from school.
This scrub like most scrub is very easy to use, take some product in the palm and start scrubbing gently on a damp face but make sure not to dip wet fingers or spoon to scoop out product as the scrub is preservative free. I found the scrub particles very abrasive so one has to be very gentle while scrubbing the face. The presence of rice flour in the scrub does help, it absorbs extra oil without stripping the skin off it’s natural oils. The green tea detoxifies the skin hence removing dirt and dead skin cells. This scrub would suit beauties with oily and dry skin; though the dry skin beauties may have to follow up with a moisturizer post usage. This scrub is definitely not for sensitive skin beauties as I earlier mentioned the scrubbing particles are abrasive. I have also noticed that prolonged use of this scrub helps in removing sun tan too, it has lessened the tan if not completely remove it which I think is great.
Pros:
- Satisfactory packaging
- Delicious smell
- Affordable; a little goes a long way
- Handmade, natural, cruelty free and chemical free
- Buffs away dry and dead skin
- Leaves a subtle glow post usage and skin looks fresh and clean
- Prolonged use helps in removing sun tan
- Too abrasive for a face scrub
- Availability: Not for me as I don’t mind buying online but it might be for some
Will I recommend: Definitely I will!
Until next time,
Deepika
