Brand story, which is a new addition to the blog, is an attempt to introduce our readers to green personal care products that are based in India and Pakistan. I have reviewed numerous green beauty products but never spoke about a brand at length. In this series, we are going to share the story of a brand and sometimes you will find us in conversation with the brand owner too (so stay tuned, okay?). I was recently contacted by Ms Dishi Jain who spearheads Organicmill, a brand which makes organic skincare products. So, let me take the opportunity to officially introduce Organicmill to our readers.
THE STORY OF ORGANICMILL:
"Out of my passion want to do something with beauty products. So started with the organic skin care range and named it Organicmill. For this, I did an international course from London University, studied a lot, did experimentation and distributed free samples to relatives and friends.
When finally got the green signal, I decided to start my own brand. Launched first product lip balm in July 2015 and haven't looked back ever since. I have 16 products in my kitty ranging from skin care, hair care, soaps etc. And planning to launch more. My products are cruelty-free, handmade and chemical free.
I formulate, pack, advertise all by myself. Majority of my clients are new mothers as they have got certain skin and hair issues after giving birth."
MY HAUL AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
Organicmill Haul |
Dishi sent me three products for consideration: a toner, detox clay mask, and a lip balm. I have been using the products for a while now and I can confidently say that I am in love with the lip balm. It is made of shea butter, beeswax, and essential oil and I, being a shea butter lover love anything that contains shea butter in abundance as I've noticed it moisturises my skin (lips in this case) like crazy! I will be reviewing all the products very soon so keep an eye out!
The products come in plastic jars and bottles bearing proper labels which contain info like ingredients, shelf life, price, quantity and usage instructions. I like the clarity and as a customer feel it's my right to know what I am putting on my skin so thumbs up for the packaging.
HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER:
You may hop on to the brand's facebook page here or WhatsApp Ms. Dishi on +91-99716 48091 to place your orders. The products are made to order so the brand might take 2-3 days to dispatch your products. Whilst placing orders please share your skin type, your skin concern, allergies if any so it's easy for Dishi to recommend products which would suit your skin type. Payments are accepted via NEFT or bank deposits.
SHIPPING:
The brand charges flat INR 100 for shipping. If your order value is INR 1500 or above then expect Dishi to pop in freebie(s) for you to try. The products are shipped via reputed courier agencies.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
I have been using the lip balm and I am so in love with it. The lip balm is priced at INR 250 for 10 grams. Though the products are may seem a little pricey but all the products are organic, handmade and chemical free and very little quantity is required so they are sure to last a long time.
I hope y'all loved reading the new addition to the blog! I will be reviewing the products very soon and we have lots of such posts in the pipeline so you guys better check back, okay?
Until next time,
Deepika
