REVIEW: Aroma Essentials Melon Sorbet

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Hello beauties!

We skip moisturisation in summers thinking that our skin will become greasy and sweaty. However, the reality is stark, our skin needs mild moisturisation in summers too as our skin gets dehydrated because of spending the long hours in air-conditioned environment. One of my favourite handmade and natural brand addressed this concern of many by introducing Body Sorbet*. The sorbets come in a 125 gm jars and is available in many variants like wild rose, melon, peach etc. I received the melon variant for reviewing.

Before moving ahead with the review let's see what the brand has to say about the product:

The sorbets contain 100% organic Aloe Vera which are perfect as an alternative to after sun as they cool and calm sunburn.

They are essential moisturisers but are lighter on skin meaning they sink in quick and don't leave you with that sticky clammy feeling you sometimes get after moisturising.

I have been using the sorbet ever since I received and I must say the sorbet has been doing a commendable job of moisturising the skin without making the skin feel greasy and sticky due to it's light weight. The sorbet has a butter-like consistency and you need a small amount to moisturise your skin. I apply the sorbet on damp skin post bath and it keeps my skin moisturised for a good number of hours. The sorbet contains 80% aloe vera and 20% shea butter and the former is known for posing multiple skincare properties with moisturisation being one of the main property. The sorbet contains essential oils that only add to the list of benefits this product boasts of.

Ingredients: Aloe vera, shea butter, vegetable glycerine, melon oil.
